WHAT IS

HOP & BREW SCHOOL®

Hop and Brew School® is an annual event offering craft brewers the opportunity to personally experience the thrill of the American hop harvest and see exactly where great beer begins. Traditionally hosted in the Yakima Valley, attendees get a chance to tour the farms and facilities where the hops are grown, picked, kiln dried and shipped to YCH. From there, they visit YCH production and shipping facilities where hops are packaged and produced into advanced products, creating a full farm to kettle experience. This event is the truest expression of our mission to connect brewers with the family farms that supply their hops.

In addition to farm and facility tours, attendees participate in educational seminars led by industry experts, multi-generational hop growers and our technical solutions specialists. Topics include product usage, recipe formulation, experimental varieties, brewing practices and more. Whether it is your first or fourth time attending, this event always provides attendees with new information and inspiration to take back to the brewery.
