FAQ: 2021 HBS
What is the cost of the overall event?
For 2021, the overall virtual event will be free and open to the public. However, some sessions have the option to participate in a more hands-on experience, such as sensory sessions. These sessions will require pre-registration and payment in order to receive supplies. Space is limited. If you do not register, you can still follow along with the LIVE session.
Who can participate?
The event is open to the public. Participants do not need to be in the beer and brewing industry. However, some seminars and presentations will be catered specifically to brewers.
Is there a limit to how many people can participate?
There will not be a limit to the number of participants for most of the events. However, there will be a limit for a few specified and paid sessions that require mailed materials.
Is there a deadline to register?
Most sessions will not require registration. People are free to join at any time. However, sessions that required mailed materials will require registration by a specified date. We do recommend that you sign up to receive updates, as we will provide the session Zoom links via email during the week of the event.
Will this be available for different time zones?
Many sessions will be conducted with international participants in mind. We are aiming to host sessions at various hours of the day to accommodate those in other time zones. However, all sessions will be archived and available on our website for those unable to attend the LIVE webinars.
What platform will this event be hosted on? Do I need to download anything ahead of time?
Online sessions will be accessed via www.HopAndBrewSchool.com or Zoom Webinars. You will need to download the Zoom app to access these links via the website. All zoom events will have the LIVE session link located on the Event/Session listing individual page. Questions or issues gaining access, please email [email protected].
REFUND POLICY (2021 virtual HBS event)
In the event a paid session is cancelled, registrants will receive a full refund.
PAID SESSION SUPPLIES NEVER ARRIVED
If your session supplies did not arrive to you in time due to shipment error, YCH will refund your payment. If issues arise from wrong address submitted, no drop off allowed, etc., session fees will not be refunded. If you contact YCH in time, session material may be able to be resent. Contact [email protected] to manage your session supply shipment.
UNABLE TO ATTEND LIVE SESSION WITH PAID ADMITTANCE
In the event you are not able to make a LIVE session that you have paid a fee to attend, no refund will be issued. You will be sent the recording link so you can watch and still participate in the sensory training. Those that miss the session will need to email [email protected] to get the recording link and password.
